Ithadtobezou crowned the consistent start she has made to her current campaign with a smart victory over 1300 metres on the Hillside course at Sandown.The Zoustar mare’s timing was impeccable with the Danny O’Brien-trained four-year-old, who had finished runner-up at her two previous starts, posting her latest success in the presence of part-owner Brendan Lindsay.“We came to look at a few horses at Cranbourne and were in Sydney to watch (G1 Thousand Guineas winner) Joliestar trial so we thought we would come here and see this horse and it was well worth it,” he said.“Danny is a great trainer and has good people around him and I thought it was a good, tough win by the mare, a terrific effort.”Now successful on three occasions, Ithadtobezou was ridden by Blake Shinn who said the race unfolded perfectly.“She jumped well and a horse inside us floated to the rail which gave us a nice cart to position outside the leader.“Her manners were exemplary this time and she did the rest, she was very strong to the line.“Danny and I had discussed the race and she can be difficult to ride, she can be quite quirky so it was a great result for everyone.”Ithadtobezou was bred by bred by Kia Ora Stud and we purchased her at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for A$340,000.She is a daughter of the Group placed Lonhro mare Define who is out of the G1 Canterbury Guineas winner Fine Society, who is a half-sister to the G2 South African Derby winner and two-time Group 1 placegetter Silverpoint.
