Booming Guineas win for filly

Exciting three-year-old Dance To The Boom has wasted no time in adding black type to her impressive pedigree.

Our daughter of Exceedance was a debut winner at Kembla Grange during the winter before a break and the filly successfully resumed at Canterbury Park.

Trainer Bjorn Baker then lifted the bar at Wyong and Dance To The Boom responded impressively to remain unbeaten following her stylish victory in the Listed Gosford Guineas over 1200 metres.

“She’s got a lot of class abut her and she’s still learning,” winning rider Rachel King said.

“She’s a big filly with a massive stride and I just love her attitude and will to win.”

Dance To The Boom cleared the barrier quickly to sit in second spot and, after challenging at the top of the straight, she proved superior in the run to the judge to score with authority.

“She is getting better and better and banged out of the gates and was too good,” stable representative Glen Lobb said.

“She’s done nothing but improve and raced right away at the finish.”

Dance To The Boom was bred by Rosemont Stud and we purchased her out of the Victorian farm’s consignment at last year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for A$250,000.

She is the first foal of the unraced I Am Invincible mare Bim Bam Boom, a half-sister to the G1 Easter Handicap winner Albany Reunion and the Listed Champagne Stakes winner Fast Dragon who also placed in the G1 Herbie Dyke Stakes.

It is a prolific Australian stakes-winning family which features Royal Discretion, Sun City, Roulettes, Parlophone, Giannis, Shesallshenanigans, Rock Lobster and Vezalay.
