Well-bred 3YO too good

Indefinite paid the believers when he posted a breakthrough victory at Stony Creek.

The well-related son of Brazen Beau delivered an overdue winning blow over 1612 metres when he scored at his 10th appearance for leading trainer Ciaron Maher.

Our homebred three-year-old has been the subject of strong support on several occasions and this time he justified his favouritism.

He broke well for rider Teo Nugent to settle handier than recent starts and produced a sustained finish in the run to the line to triumph.

We offered Indefinite at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale where he was secured for A$70,000 by Maher and Victoria’s Starblue Consultancy.

He is the first winner for the English-bred Al Kazeem mare Timespan, who we purchased for 55,000gns at the 2018 Tattersalls December Mares’ Sale.

She is out of a sister to the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud winner Passage Of Time, dam of multiple Group 2 winner and sire Time Test, whose half-brother Timepiece was successful in the G1 Falmouth Stakes.

Timespan has produced fillies by Hello Youmzain in the last two seasons and is in foal to Embellish.
