Well-related filly Kellanzor is continuing to show she has inherited a good degree of the family ability.
The three-year-old earned the second victory of her four-start career when she produced a stout finish for trainer and rider Samantha Wynne to defeat her age group rivals over 1400 metres at Riccarton.
She has only missed a top three placing once when a respectable fifth at her previous appearance in the Listed Southland Guineas.
We bred Kellanzor who is a daughter of resident stallion Almanzor and the late O’Reilly mare Kelly O’Reilly.
She was a talented performer who won seven races, including the G2 Auckland Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes and has a 100 per cent record at stud with all three of her foals to race have been successful.
Kellanzor settled midfield before she picked up ground wide 600 metres from home and she held a strong gallop to the post to score.
