A daughter of Too Darn Hot was our flagship youngster at Inglis’ Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
The filly was a popular pre-auction individual and the interest carried over to the ring where multiple buyers were chasing her before Resolute Racing and Dynamic Syndications had the final say at A$675,000.
Offered as Lot 53, she is a half-sister to gifted sprinter I Am Me who has been a multiple Group 2 winner for Ciaron Maher and Group 1 placed in the Manikato Stakes, Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes and the William Reid Stakes.
Their dam is the Medaglia D’Oro mare Mefnooda whose half-sister One Last Dance won the G3 Blue Diamond Prelude.
We also sold a son of Almanzor during the opening session for A$180,000 to Liam Howley Racing and Sam Wright.
Lot 127 is a half-brother to our G2 Sir Patrick Hogan Stakes winner About Time and the multiple Australian Group 1 placegetter Young Werther.
Their dam Romantic Time is a half-sister to the ill-fated G2 Silver Slipper Stakes winner Amelia’s Dream.
On Day Two, Lot 267 was expected to be a highly sought after filly and she didn’t disappoint, leaving the ring with a A$575,000 price tag around her neck.
By the hugely popular Wootton Bassett, she was secured by the G1 Doncaster Handicap-winning trainer Bjorn Baker and Clarke Bloodstock.
The youngster is the first foal of the Zoustar mare Zouzarella, who was successful in the Listed Atlantic Jewel Stakes and her pedigree page also featured the G1 Italian Oaks winner Zabarella.
A well-related daughter of Almanzor, Lot 259, was another hot ticket item for us and she sold for A$325,000.
The filly has an abundance of residual value as a half-sister to the G1 Spring Champion Stakes winner El Castello and recent Hong Kong winner Regency Happy Star was knocked down to Chris Waller and Mulcaster Bloodstock.
The youngster is out of the Fastnet Rock mare Word Games, a half-sister to the G1 BMW Stakes and G1 Victoria Derby winner Fiveandahalfstar.
A son of exciting young stallion Hello Youmzain, Lot 192 was sold to Payne Racing, of New South Wales, for A$160,000.
The colt is out of our imported Pivotal mare Steer By The Stars who has a 100 percent record from three to the races, including the Listed Carnarvon Stakes winner Never Look Back and a pedigree that includes the G1 Keeneland Spinster Stakes winner Aruna.
