Smart 3YO defends unbeaten record

Our well-related Exceedance three-year-old Dance To The Boom has continued where she left off with a stylish victory at Canterbury Park.

Trainer Bjorn Baker produced her to win on debut at Kembla Grange in August before a break and she resumed in top fashion over 1200 metres to keep her unbeaten record intact.

Off the back of a pair of lead-up trials, Dance To The Boom loped along at the back of the field before unleashing an irresistible finish in the hands of Rachel King.

The filly was bred by Rosemont Stud and we purchased her out of the Victorian nursery’s draft at last year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for A$250,000.

She is the first foal of the unraced I Am Invincible mare Bim Bam Boom, is a half-sister to the G1 Easter Handicap winner Albany Reunion and the Listed Champagne Stakes winner Fast Dragon who also placed in the G1 Herbie Dyke Stakes.

It is a family littered with Australian stakes winners including Royal Discretion, Sun City, Roulettes, Parlophone, Giannis, Shesallshenanigans, Rock Lobster and Vezalay.

Sunrise Silence and Sir Frenchie add international form with black type successes in South Africa.
