Manzor Magic continues to be a good money spinner for Peter Morley’s Belhus Racing.

We bred and sold the son of Almanzor to the Western Australian-based syndication company for $30,000 at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Weanling Sale at Karaka.

He subsequently failed to meet his reserve when reoffered as a yearling, but any disappointment is now a distant memory.

Placed as a three-year-old in the Listed Belmont Classic, the lightly raced Manzor Magic posted his third career victory at Bunbury last time out over 1690 metres to take his earnings beyond A$72,000.

The Grant and Alan William-trained representative was ridden by Clint Johnston-Parker and was a comfortable victory, giving the runner-up 4.5kg in the process.

Manzor Magic is out of the winning Zabeel mare Sunset Magic, who is a daughter of a three-quarter sister to the dam of the six-time Group 1 winner and former Australian Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracey.
