Speedy mare Ima Brazen One was back to winning ways at New Plymouth where she never gave her rivals a look in over 1200 metres.
The patiently handled four-year-old raced in blinkers for the first time and she controlled the tempo after showing her usual gate speed.
The Michael Breslin-trained Ima Brazen One sprinted clear at the top of the straight for apprentice Lily Sutherland and held a strong gallop to the post to beat her Rating 75 opposition with authority.
We bred the daughter of Brazen Beau, who has now won three of her eight starts, and sold her to Breslin for $100,000 at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale.
That figured was matched by her Sword Of State half-sister who was knocked down to Richard and Will Freedman at Karaka last Sunday.
Their dam is the More Than Ready mare Imanana and she in turn is a daughter of the G1 Railway Handicap winner Imananabaa and the family of the Group 2 winners Born Priceless, The Heavyweight and Anaheed.
