The Andrew Forsman-trained Sparkles has doubled up on the all-weather track at Cambridge with another dominant display. The improving daughter of our young gun Embellish had broken her maiden in style on the course in her previous appearance over 1550 metres and she emphatically stepped up to a middle distance to continue her winning roll. The filly went up in the air at the start and settled well back in the field for champion jockey in waiting Warren Kennedy. She was on the move wide out 600 metres from home and produced a sustained finish to account for her older rivals.Raced by co-breeder the Luv A Long Lunch Syndicate, Sparkles is out of the now retired Mossman mare Vibrant Moss, who won on three occasions up to 1200 metres and all three of her foals to race have been winners.
