Super Goldi’s impressive debut victory in Hong Kong has provided his close relative with a timely boost.Our homebred son of Tavistock was successful at the first time of asking over 1200 metres and we will offer his half-brother by Hello Youmzain as Lot 438 during the Book 1 session at next month’s New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale.The youngster is out of the Irish-bred Pivotal mare Steer By The Stars and is a three-quarter brother to the Listed Newbury Carnarvon Stakes winner Never Back Down.Steer By The Stars is a half-sister to the Listed Sandown Heron Stakes winner and Group 1 performer Consort and has a Hello Youmzain colt at foot and has been covered by Farnan.We sold Super Goldi through Maluka Thoroughbreds’ draft at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale for A$400,000 to the Hong Kong Jockey Club.He provided trainer Frankie Lor with his first success with a Hong Kong International Sale graduate after Super Goldi realised $931,500 at the 2023 auction.
