Well-related three-year-old Manzor Magic displayed his staying potential when he downed his older middle-distance rivals at Pinjara.Congratulations to Peter Morley’s Western Australian-based syndication company Belhus Racing Stables, who purchased our homebred son of Almanzor at Karaka in 2022.Manzor Magic was part of our draft at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Weanling Sale at Karaka and sold for $30,000.He subsequently failed to meet his reserve when reoffered as a yearling, but showed he had a bright future when he capped off a consistent run of form with victory for trainers Grant and Alana Williams. The gelding came from the tail of the field for a comfortable win at the end of 2000 metres under jockey Chris Parnham. Manzor Magic is out of the winning Zabeel mare Sunset Magic, who is in foal to Sword Of State, and she is from the family of six-time Group 1 winner and former Australian Horse of the Year.
