Lot 687 is from the first crop of Champion Two-Year-Old Sword of State. A $600,000 Magic Millions graduate by Snitzel, Sword of State was the dominant juvenile in New Zealand of his generation. His four wins at two included the Gr.1 Sistema Stakes and at three his wins included defeating Imperatriz in the Gr.3 Almanzor Trophy and running a race record time of 1:08.17 in the Gr.3 King’s Plate. This filly is bred on a similar Snitzel/More Than Ready cross to Gr.1 Golden Slipper winner Shinzo. This family has crossed particularly well with Danehill-line stallions, producing Gr.2 winners Ninth Legion and Tsaritsa and Group performed two-year-old Sing a Love Song.
