Lot 358 is from the first crop of Champion Two-Year-Old Sword of State. A $600,000 Magic Millions graduate by Snitzel, Sword of State was the dominant juvenile in New Zealand of his generation. His four wins at two included the Gr.1 Sistema Stakes and at three his wins included defeating Imperatriz in the Gr.3 Almanzor Trophy and running a race record time of 1:08.17 in the Gr.3 King’s Plate. This colt is a half-brother to Gr.3 performer Manchu and from a rich European family that traces back to Gr.1 winning two-year-old Crystal Music. He is bred on a similar Snitzel/Shamardal cross to Gr.2 winner Doull and Listed winner Willinga Beast.
