Booming debut from promising filly

Booming debut from promising filly17 Aug 2024

Our Exceedance filly Dance To The Boom did us proud when she launched her career in perfect style at Kembla Grange.

The three-year-old had placed in both of her most recent lead-up trials for trainer Bjorn Baker and produced a professional display on debut over 1200 metres.

She cleared the gates quickly to sit on the leader’s quarters under rider Keagan Latham and put the issue beyond doubt 200 metres from home, striding clear to win by 1.3l.

Dance To The Boom was bred by Rosemont Stud and we purchased her out of the Victorian operation’s draft at last year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for A$250,000.

She is the first foal of the unraced I Am Invincible mare Bim Bam Boom who is a half-sister to the G1 Easter Handicap winner Albany Reunion and the Listed Champagne Stakes winner Fast Dragon, also placed in the G1 Herbie Dyke Stakes.

It’s not a family short of black type winners with Royal Discretion, Sun City, Roulettes, Parlophone and Vezalay all featuring on a decorated pedigree page.
