Werther's magnificent four-and-a-half lengths win in last night's HK$20m Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup-Gr.1 took the tally of Group One wins - this season alone - to seven for the stock of Tavistock.
It was Werther's first official International Group One victory last night, though it's a fair argument to claim his Hong Kong Derby-HK1 victory as every bit of the international standard required.
Werther (ex Bagalollies, by Zabeel) now has a record of 18 starts for 7 wins, 8 placings and A$5,263,416 in prize money.
Here are the other individual Group One winners for Tavistock this season
Tavago (ex Sara Ann, by Stravinsky)
* Australian Derby-Gr.1
* 7 starts for 3 wins, 2 placings & A$1,395,955
Tarzino (ex Zarzino, by Zabeel)
