The popularity of Cambridge Stud shuttle stallion Almanzor was emphasised in France overnight.
His daughter out of the Montjeu mare Fresh Air realised just shy of NZ$440,000 at the December Sale at Arqana in Deauville.
The foal was purchased by Ronald Rauscher out of the Haras d’Etreham consignment.
A NZ$990,000 Keeneland Breeding Sale buy, Fresh Air won once and is a half-sister to the stakes winner Barsanti.
It’s also the family of the Group One success stories of successful sire Xaar, Siskin and Close Hatches.
